David Kim is Famous
Apparently, the Code Monkey video made the front page of YouTube as a featured video. I have been bombarded with all sorts of comment spam.
Comments on life, entertainment, and mathematics by a guy with nothing better to do.

In case you were not aware, my code monkey video got posted on Digg Video and got dugg up to the front page. Now, the video has surpassed 8,500 views. I feel special.
The defense went without major incident. I'd like to give a big thanks to those who could make it. It helped a lot. I should have the video up sometime soon, once I capture it from tape. However, I have plenty of other deadlines that I delayed, so it may be a while.
It is way too early to be wearing a suit, but it is time for me to prepare for my defense. I'm running way over time and need to cut some of the boring stuff. Let's see how this goes.
Apparently, with some help from friends, the Code Monkey video is on the front page of Digg Video right now. If you click the previous link and digg the article, it will count more than if you use the direct link. However, I recommend everyone and anyone to digg it up so David Kim becomes even more famous!
I'm horribly unproductive right now, so I am watching Koyaanisqatsi while attempting to do work. I seem to never fully pay attention to this film, so I grab something new out of it every time.
I have submitted my thesis to my committee. This version is supposed to be as good as final, but I will make a few minor adjustments before submitting it to the honors program. If you would like to see it, it is available here. If you would like to find out what it is that I really did, you have a few opportunities to find out.
I have officially signed my life for the next few years to the UNL Mathematics department. Hooray.
The J.D. Edwards program is always crazy about tracking information about their graduates for future recruiting purposes. Since I seem to have the absolute worst professional plan after graduation compared to the goals of JDE, my answers were pretty much useless. Particularly, I'm sure they won't like the fact that my salary is almost half of the lowest bound available in their options. One last question was a little open-ended and I answered as honestly as I could:
Tonight, I am taking the Brian Kell route and starting a couple homeworks the night before it is due. This behavior was thrust upon me due to continual thesis writing and other deadlines that are keeping me from having a normal sleep schedule. It is not boding well for me, especially because I missed the lectures that made sense of what I am trying to do. I shall continue to be up much later than I am right now.
